Baijnath Shiv temple – Himachal Pradesh Temple established by Ravana 

Do you know there is Baijnath shiv temple in Himachal Pradesh which was established by Ravan by mistake. Yes, you heard it right, a temple established by Ravana. Do you want to know the story behind it? 

Once upon a time, Ravana was austering for boon from lord Shiva, to have the boon Ravana took an oath to to take the shivling to Lanka without keeping it on the earth but the lord Ganesha lord came together varuna together to stop Ravana from attaining the boon;  to attain the Boon Ravana was going on a way towards the  Lanka bearing the shivling on his shoulder.

On his way to Lanka lord will varuna and Lord Ganesha teamed up, Lord varuna by his divine grace gave Ravana an urge to pee, forcing him to put the shivling down, which he in kind a way becomes successful in,  as start went of here in his austrous task  lord Ganesha appears as young kshtriya in front of Ravana,  who like every gentle warrior want to help him, asking Ravana if he can help him with the shivling, to which Ravana agrees as well And passes the shivling to the ksatriya leaves to pee in the jungle but on returning find The shivling touching the surface of the Jungle.
