It is a savory dish made also known as Alu Vadi, is a traditional Indian dish made from taro leaf also known as colocasia leaves, they are cooked from hilltop Himachal Pradesh to the coastal regions of Karnataka.
The leaf looks like elephant ear and is usually cooked with a unique salty and savoury flavor, slightly crispy texture.
The leaves are coated with a spiced gram flour paste, rolled into cylinders, steamed, sliced, and then typically shallow-fried until crispy; and enjoyed with tea and snacks.
